I make every effort to ensure that the information you share with me is recorded accurately, retained securely and used only according to your wishes. I protect your personal information and adhere to all current data protection act legislation with respect to protecting privacy. I do not give out, sell or trade my mailing list data with external organizations. I comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.
ANJA MARAIS LLC collects personal data that you may volunteer as part of an open studio, art exhibition attendance, making a purchase or visit, and e-newsletter sign-up. Personal information I collect may include:

The transmission of information via the Internet or email is not completely secure. Although I will do my best to protect your personal data, I cannot guarantee the security of data while you are transmitting it to my site; any such transmission is at your own risk. Once I have received your personal data, I will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access. I will process, disclose or share your personal data only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal requirements or legal process served on us or the Website.

– Google Analytics
When someone visits www.anjamarais.com, I use Google Analytics to collect statistical data and details of visitor patterns which tell us which parts of my website visitors use most often. None of this information uses, or requires the use, of personal information and is processed in a way that does not identify individuals. I do not make any attempts to find out the identities of individuals visiting my website.
– Mailing List
I use a third party provider MailChimp to deliver my newsletter. I use MailChimp software to help gather statistics on opening rates and clicks on links which help me monitor and improve my communications. Individuals can unsubscribe at any time from newsletters by clicking the unsubscribe link on each e-newsletter. You can view MailChimp’s privacy notice here.
– Affiliate Program Participation
The Website may engage in affiliate marketing, which is done by embedding tracking links into the Website. If you click on a link to an affiliate partnership, a cookie will be placed on your browser to track any sales for purposes of commissions.
ANJA MARAIS LLC is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and links to Amazon.com. As part of this Amazon Associates program, the Website will post customized links, provided by Amazon, to track the referrals to their website. This program utilizes cookies to track visits for the purposes of assigning commission on these sales.
